Our Tasting Rooms are a great place to try all our beer, meetup with friends, and grab some beer to go. We sell samples, glasses, crowlers, and sometimes cans and bottles. We also have swag and occasionally you'll find a limited beer/cider that you can't get anywhere else. Chester is an ideal location as it's accessible both to the Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey. Additionally, if you're coming from the city and going to the Catskills, we're right off the highway. You'll find a plethora of great places to eat and drink, cideries, wineries, additional breweries, distilleries, and other attractions in the area. Stop on by!
Duck In vs. Duck Out
Duck In is our primary tasting room. It is designed to be a comfortable place to stay “in” and try a few of our beers. We have 20 taps, which means an expanded taplist including some brewery only one-offs. We'll also occasionally have guest taps including other New York State Breweries and Cideries.
Duck In has a covered outdoor patio.
Wine, Cider, and soft drinks are available at this location.
Select Crowlers (can growlers), cans, and/or bottles are available at Duck In Tuesday - Thursday.
Bistro on the Go, a food truck from Christopher's Bistro, provides food Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The truck closes one hour before we do.
Check out their facebook for more info.
(No outside food allowed when the truck is open).
Duck Out is our original tasting room space and the place to get “take out”. If you want crowlers (can growlers), growler fills, cans, bottles, and/or swag, come to Duck Out to grab something to-go. Attached to the brewery, this space also provides a limited number of seats to enjoy our beer in glasses or flights.
Duck Out is the ONLY place to get growler fills. Refills only, as we do not currently stock glass growlers. We only stock crowlers (can-growlers).
The famous James the Brewery Cat resides here.
Our two locations are right next to each other.

party vehicles, buses, & Large Groups
Party Vehicles: We do NOT allow party vehicles of ANY kind at either of our locations. This includes any buses, vans, limos, etc. We WILL turn away any party vehicle that shows up, regardless of size and/or affiliation. These are not conducive to the Rushing Duck atmosphere, and they are disruptive to our patrons.
Groups: If you are attending with a group of 10 or more (NOT in a bus/party vehicle), please contact us to let us know. (845) 610-5440 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
As policy, we are not able to reserve tables.
Groups of more than 30 may be hard to accommodate. Please consider an event rental (see below).
If you are interested in having an event at Rushing Duck, please contact email@example.com for more info.
Dogs are allowed in the Duck Out original tasting room as long as they are well behaved and on a leash. Be aware that our brewery cat, James, does like to hang out in the tasting room.
Dogs are not allowed inside the Duck In location due to the presence of food. They are, however, allowed in the outdoor area of Duck In.
Children are welcome, as long as they don't try to buy or consume the beer. We offer non-alcoholic beverages at our "Duck In" location.
Outside Food is not allowed.
We release cans of select brands every couple months from the tasting room. You can find out about releases on our social media pages.
Cans and Bottles sold at the brewery CANNOT be resold. Trade and share all you want, but we will not tolerate resale. Most Cans and Bottles are only released from the brewery. Some are occasionally distributed, and accounts can only purchase them through our Distributor, Gasko & Meyer. We will no longer sell beer to an account or individual that resells our cans and/or bottles illicitly.
Parking can occasionally become full. Make sure you are following all "No Parking" sings and not blocking any small streets and/or driveways. Please respect our neighbors!
However, if the lot is full, have no fear, there is ample municipal parking on the top of the hill, a short walk away. At the end of Main Street there is street parking as well as a few municipal lots.
We are not responsible for illegally parked cars.
Tasting Room Location
Our "Duck In" Tasting Room is located at: 2 Greycourt Ave, Chester, NY 10918
The address for the brewery itself and "Duck Out" is directly across the gravel street at: 1 Battiato Lane, Chester, NY 10918
At the very end of Main St. there is a fork in the road. To the right, you will see a large blue building that is an Outdoor Supply. Continue past this building to the very edge of downtown Chester. On your right, directly across from Meadow Ave., is a brown barn with multiple garage doors. This is our Duck In Tasting Room.
